Possessive pronouns
мой, твой, наш, ваш decline like adjectives. его, её, их never change — and must not be confused with personal-object forms.
How it works
мой, твой, наш, ваш decline like adjectives. его, её, их never change — and must not be confused with personal-object forms.
Then open Forms, Notes, Exceptions, and Examples in that order.
When to use it
- To mark ownership agreeing with the noun: моя книга, наши друзья
- его / её / их before a noun for his / her / their
- After prepositions when they decline: о моей работе, в нашем доме
- Not for «I have» — prefer У меня есть…
Pro tip
If you can swap in «my/our» and need an ending, decline. If it’s his/her/their, freeze the form.
